Welcome for CCC report
Transform Scotland today welcomed the Committee on Climate Change's report
'Building a low-carbon economy'.
Paul Tetlaw, Chair of Transform Scotland, said:
"We welcome this report which sets out quite starkly the challenges that we face. "In the transport sector there are many very simple and cost effective steps which the Scottish Government should now be taking to ensure that emissions stop climbing and start to reduce. "In particular we need a clear strategy to convert many short journeys to walking and cycling. Beyond that all future investment much be focussed on substantially improving the modal share of public transport."
