ForthRight Alliance outlines cost of bridge to Scottish Parliament
In advance of todays vote on the Forth Crossing Bill Committee Stage 1 Report, the ForthRight Alliance have released a briefing paper outlining the massive cost of the Second Forth Road Bridge.
The briefing highlights how the second bridge will be the biggest drain on the Scottish capital budget over the course of the next parliament, which can only result in reductions in the capital budget for local authorities, schools the health service and every other area of capital expenditure.
This briefing only further demonstrates the Scottish Government's lack of commitment to sustainable transport, which will surely receive less funding due to the cost of the second bridge, as well as its commitments on reducing CO2 emissions.
